We have extensive experience in developing and implementing systems using advanced coding, modulation and error corrrecting techniques.

With involvement in the development of the DVB standards and their implementation in the UK, we have an in-depth understanding of these standards and can implement them in our designs.

Using this experience we can also design bespoke transmission systems, dedicated to and optimised for any specific purpose.

Examples

Professional Audio Link

We developed a custom COFDM modulation system, working in harmony with a custom audio codec to provide an RF link transmitting digital broadcast quality audio with an end-to-end latency of just 2mS. This was developed with a partner manufacturer for a wireless microphone system, with the requisite low power consumption needed for battery operation at both transmitter and receiver.

Compact DVB-T modulator

We developed a low power DVB-T modulator, integrated with a MPEG2 video and audio encoder onto a single small PCB. This was then sold as an OEM module for various security applications.

We also developed various receiver modules, to complement this, and provide a complete OEM solution for RF digital video transmission. These modules were then used by clients in their products ranging from man-portable video links, maritime video links, and air to ground links.

The modulator design was also used within hotel and residential cable systems to add local channels (hotel information, security cameras etc) to the received off air DVB-T channels.
